Here we are deep into the beauty of the summer, blue skies, bright sun, warm
breezes and those revealing summer clothes. Well, why would you want to hide
yourself under a big heavy coat or sweater anyway. It is time to let yourself
out to enjoy being the best that you can be. I would like to help you achieve
this in a way this is not only easy, but also fun for you.
Each day it seems I hear some new and wonderful story from one of you about
some wonderful thing that LifeLift is doing to make your life better. I can't
begin to tell you how happy it makes me every time I hear of a new triumph from
one of you. I feel like a proud Mamma knowing that I had even a small part in
the fulfillment of your dreams. I often write and ask detailed questions about
the steps that were taken when I hear these great stories, so that I can pass
the information on to all of you. I appreciate that you seem so excited to share
your good news to inspire others. After all that is what makes life truly
wonderful, sharing and knowing that we are making the world a better place. I
would like to thank each of you for inspiring me and others with your wonderful
testimonials about how LifeLift has been truly life changing for you. It
actually gets difficult to pick which ones to post on the site, all of your
stories are so inspiring.
A few weeks ago I heard from a special friend of mine telling me that she had
some special thing coming up and really wanted to look her best. Here is the
advice I sent her, I would like to share it with you now. "I am sure you can
reach your goal. Remember to eat every couple of hours so that you don't crave
junk food and drink plenty of water. Try to drink it all through the day. If you
can develop a habit of doing your LifeLift breathing as you do other things all
day long, driving, sitting at your computer, in your bath or shower, while
brushing your hair, washing your dishes, while still in bed, sitting in a chair
reading or watching television you will learn to incorporate it into your life
and you may be able to stop worrying so much about what you eat. The idea is to
get your metabolism to speed up into high gear. The beauty of doing it this way
is that it becomes second nature to you and you will see much more dramatic
results in every area of your life. You will feel more serene and it will be
easier to stay focused on positive things. This is how I do it daily now. I
still do like to carve out time to do the body sculpting positions in a
set workout too, but by adding these extra breaths your body is always flooded
with oxygen and is releasing toxins constantly." Another note is to do the pah
with less intensity, it seems to feel more comfortable to most people and it
seems to be easier to do more. I have been testing and the results are the same,
perhaps even better with the pah being drawn deeper into the belly and with less
force out.
Well, here is part of the message she sent back to me a few days ago. "I
weighed this morning and I have lost another 2 pounds. I think that is 5 now.
This is the most painless 5 pounds I have ever lost. I kept having to
pull my pants up yesterday at work and today my shorts felt looser too."
I wrote back and asked for more details on what she was doing and here is
some added information.
"Something that is helping me is to drink 4 oz. (approx..- usually about 8
swallows) of water every half hour until I have . I have always heard that a
person may be thirsty instead of hungry. Since I've been drinking more water I'm
finding my appetite is being reduced. Just beats all I've ever seen!
Remember, like anything else you can over do it, so be careful not to drink
too much water too fast. It is never good to oversaturate your internal organs
with too much water all at once. There is a great deal of truth in the statement
that most things are always better in moderation. I like the idea of drinking 4
oz. at a time instead of trying to drink a whole 8 oz. glass or bottle at
once.
HOW SWEET ARE YOU ANYWAY?
Sugar. It looks so innocent. It is white which often makes us think of
purity. Purity can be good for some things, but not always. Not in this case.
According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a Washington D.C.
based health advocacy organization the average American ingests twenty teaspoons
of added sugar each day. Sixteen percent of our total daily calories comes from
added sugar. For teenagers it is 20% higher. On average, Americans gobble twenty
five more pounds of sugar a year than we did ten years ago.
If you are what you eat that what kind of sugar filled sweet treat are you?
Think about it.
BEANS, BEANS, BEANS, KIDNEY
BEANS
Kidney beans are one of those undiscovered foods that can nourish every
part of your beautiful body. All of the B vitamins in them can boost
your brain power. The potassium and the magnesium are great for
your heart. The fiber in them is like love food to your digestive system,
the calcium and phosphorous are gifts to your bones and the
protein can add strength to your muscles. It seems that if you
want to love your whole body, eating kidney beans would be to your body like
bringing flowers would be to your soul.
WEIGH VERSUS MEASURE
I started believing a very long time ago that a tape measure is a much better
way to judge what kind of shape your body is in than a scale. Often you will see
a woman who may be at ideal weight, yet it may be settled all in hips and
thighs, or all in the mid section. That is why LifeLift is so great. There is a
way to change that.
Think about this. I am not quite 5 ft 6 inches tall and when I am in the best
shape, toned and firm, I weigh between 125 and 130 pounds. I have a small bone
structure. Now I can be the same size, yet flabby, (I know because after my car
accident I did not do LifeLift and I lost about 15 pounds, though I was about
the same size, I was not toned and firm like usual, it was all muscle loss.)
Then I figured out that doing LifeLift would actually strengthen my back so I
started it again and quickly returned to my preferred muscle tone.
I prefer having the extra weight because muscle weighs more than fat
and I look and feel a whole lot better at the higher weight. I will also tell
you that most people who meet me think that I am much taller, usually they guess
about 5ft. 8 or 9 inches tall. The reason for this is that I have always focused
on proportions. Especially my thigh to hip ratio.
You will find that if your proportions are right that you will look
taller and thinner.
Here is the way to figure out perfect proportions.
Hips and bust should be as close to the same as possible. Say 37 bust, 37
hips.
Your thighs should be approximately 16 inches smaller than your hip
measurement, so that would be in this case 21 inches.
Your arm, at the largest part of your biceps should be half of your thigh.
Your waist should be at least 10 inches smaller than your hips.
Yours abdomen should be at the fullest place approximately 7 inches larger
than your waist if your waist were 10 inches smaller than your hips.
So an example would be bust 37 waist 27 abdomen 34 hips 37
thighs 21 arms 10 1/2" each
For you guys out there it is much easier. Just do LifeLift and enjoy
the fact that it always shrinks the mid section, which is where most men
carry excess weight. Often just looking in the mirror, or judging by the way
your clothes feel is better than hopping on that scale. The scale can make you
crazy, since we all will gain and lose some daily due to our water intake,
medications we may be on, something we have eaten that has temporarily bloated
us, hormone changes and the list goes on. Just remember to do your LifeLift so
that you will FEEL good and make your body healthier, the rest will follow.
GIVE YOURSELF SOME EMOTIONAL
NURTURING
Negative emotions can be channeled into physical symptoms.
Becoming aware of the feelings that stimulate symptoms of physical illness
can be the first step in relieving the problem.
Having a backache can be related to feelings that you arecarrying
the weight of the world.
Having pain in your stomach can be a result of feelings of not
being able to digest what is going on in your life.
Identify your feelings as you experience the symptoms. When you feel the
symptoms of illness try to read the language that your body is using to try to
communicate with you. Ask yourself some questions connected to your current
feelings.
Are you feeling a fear of rejection?
Are you feeling that the responsibilities that you have are so
overwhelming that you are holding up the weight of the world?
Do you simply feel your life is out of control?
Once you have asked yourself the questions try to determine if your feelings
are based on fact or grounded in a fantasy that you have created in your mind.
Determine what your feelings are. Is the reality of the perceived problem
actually as threatening as you have subconsciously perceived it to be? By first
making this connection you will develop self-awareness that will allow you to
create a solution. When you feel threatened, angry or frustrated, your
brain releases "stress chemicals." These chemicals are released into the
bloodstream and may cause your blood pressure to rise, your stomach to
tense up and your heart to beat faster. You may not be consciously
aware of the chemical reaction going on in your body that is creating
destruction and causing you to feel ill. Once you have uncovered your hidden
emotions you can move to resolve the problem that is pushing your buttons and
causing the feelings of illness. Trying to maintain a healthy, fit and
attractive body is much easier when you rid yourself of hidden emotions that can
create disease in your body. Identifying the culprit is the first step to a
solution. Be healthy.
